A Surface Mounting Embedded Optical Transceiver with Bi-Directional Data Rate of Eight Channels × 10 Gbps

Abstract

The bi-directional data rate is investigated of an eight-channel × 10-Gbps optical transceiver with a size of 15 mm × 15 mm × 6 mm and ball grid array package form that was designed and fabricated. A passive optical coupling method is designed based on a coupling lens array, which is transformed to substrate through a carrier. This electrical performance is characterized through a 3D full wave simulation and shows great advantages compared with traditional pluggable optical transceivers. Experimental eye diagram measurement in loop-back mode via a 2-m-long multi-mode fiber array shows an eye width of 51.984 ps at a bit-error rate order of 10^?12, which proves the transceiver's ability for 10.3125-Gbps data transmission.

On Two Theorems of Finite Solvable Groups

For a finite group G, let T（G） denote a set of primes such that a prime p belongs to T（G） if and only if p is a divisor of the index of some maximal subgroup of G. It is proved that if G satisfies any one of the following conditions： （1） G has a p-complement for each p∈T（G）; （2）│T（G）│= 2： （3） the normalizer of a Sylow p-subgroup of G has prime power index for each odd prime p∈T（G）; then G either is solvable or G/Sol（G）≌PSL（2, 7） where Sol（G） is the largest solvable normal subgroup of G.

Estimation of the order of a group generated by a twisted subset

We prove that a group generated by a twisted subset is finite and its order is bounded by some function depending only on the order of the twisted subset.     

Quasinormal subgroups of order p 2

The location of quasinormal subgroups in a group is not particularly well known. Maximal ones always have to be normal, but little has been proved about the minimal ones. In finite groups, the difficulties arise in the p-groups. Here we prove that, for every odd prime p, a quasinormal subgroup of order p ² in a finite p-group G contains a quasinormal subgroup of G of order p. S.
